Rock Art Across the Southwest
Over thousands of years the indigenous people of the Southwest have left only clues about who they were, where they came from, their traditions and family constellations.
These clues, etched in rock faces and on canyon walls across the New Mexico landscape remain as much an enigma as the art left behind. There is no Rosetta Stone that might give them a single meaning. Part of the adventure surrounding petroglyphs is the opportunity for us to imagine our own stories as vast as the landscape that surrounds them.
Fire On Steel captures their mystery etched in steel as weathered and permanent as nature's gallery where they reside.
